The
neem tree, scientific name - Azadirachta Indica, is one of the most
useful trees known to mankind. It has been renowned for its medicinal
properties in Indian medicine for ages. |
Every
part of the neem tree provides valuable products. Several tests
have that the extracts possess insect anti-feedant, insect-growth
disruption, nematicidal, fungicidal, bactericidal, anti-inflammatory,
anti-tumour, immuno-stimulating and various other properties. |
Neem
has been proven effective against serious skin conditions like eczema,
psoriasis, acne, dermatitis, herpes, shingles and many more. Neem
has been shown to regulate the immune system, lower blood sugars,
reduce fevers, fight gum disease, and act as a tonic for the heart. |
Research
has revealed that at least 9 neem limonoids have demonstrated an
ability to block insect growth affecting a range of species including
some of the most deadly pests of agriculture and human health. New
limonoids are still being discovered in neem, but the most common
azadirachtin, salannin, meliantriol and nimbin are the most powerful
agents in neem extracts. |
Lalitha
